Board of Directors/Officers
The 5 Board of Directors/Officers and 2 Members-at-large manage the affairs of the Oaks of Edgewood HOA. The Board of Directors and Officers enforce and interpret the Association Declarations and Bylaws. This is a voluntary act of community service.
The annual homeowners meeting is held in November. New members are elected for two year terms to the Board with 4 elected in even numbered years and 3 in odd numbered years. Residents are encouraged to become Board members. The application form is available on this website.
It is the responsibility of the Board to set policies, standards, procedures and budget for the Association. Through its decisions the Board of Directors/Officers work to:
Board members have volunteer committees who assist them with their specific assignments and responsibilities.
Homes Associations of Kansas City (HA-KC) is enlisted to provide “back office” support in areas such as printing, mailing, filing liens, general accounting, and collection of dues.
Budget
The annual budget is set each fall by the Board and approved by Members during the annual meeting. The budget is based on projected income (dues), expenses (the costs of services for the community), and reserves held against future major costs. The HOA fiscal year runs from December 1 through November 30 of each year. ????
Voting Rights
Only the property owner may vote. One vote is allowed for each home owned in Oaks of Edgewood. Members may vote in person or by written proxy, which should be filed with the secretary of the Association. Members must be in good standing with all dues and fines paid through the current date to be eligible to vote.
